This morning is EFL fixture release day - and Charlton Athletic striker Matty Godden is set to look first for a couple of London derbies when the club’s Championship schedule is announced.

The frontman, who signed a new 12-month contract earlier this week, is happy that there is another opportunity for the Addicks to try and end their lengthy wait for a victory over south London rivals Millwall.

Godden has also revealed there are reasons why the fixtures against West Ham United hold a little extra interest.

The Hammers will play Championship football for the first time since the 2011-12 season. They won the Europa Conference League in 2023 and predictably are the betting favourites to win promotion.
