Addicks boss on sticking with Will Mannion and why he avoided making Southampton scouting trip to watch Norwich City
Nathan Jones has launched an impassioned defence of Charlton Athletic attacker Tyreece Campbell.
The Addicks manager spoke to this website in December about the 22-year-old academy product, who has been a firm fixture of his sides.
Campbell has scored three goals and contributed the same amount of assists in his first campaign at Championship level.
The Jamaican international got off the mark this season in the December draw at Birmingham City, impacting off the bench to seal a 1-1 draw in the Midlands.

Campbell bagged a consolation in a 2-1 loss to Derby and the winner to see off Stoke City at The Valley on February 11.
A number of Charlton supporters continue to debate the merits and value to the side of Campbell, who has made 163 senior appearances for the south Londoners. He has featured in all their league matches this season, 27 as a starter.
So does Jones understand why Campbell is such a hot topic for the fanbase?
