A genuinely lovely bloke, as Louis puts it so perfectly it hurts because he was just like many of us (just with a braver fashion sense!) a normal bloke who loved his football club and who felt as if he had a second family.
Used to chat too him in Charlton when waiting for the coach sometimes, had a few very nice chats, just a genuinely kind bloke.
Favourite memory has to be the time I thought I had my own carriage on a train back once, put my own headphones on, got to Euston and stood up and there he was… don’t know why that memory sticks out, just a normal interaction with a nice human being.
Really hope the club prepare something for Tuesday (I’m sure they will).
Such a sad day for the club and all us fans that interacted with Norm on match days in SE7 or around the country.
Even had mates who support other clubs messaging me, seems he was the face of Charlton for many of them over the years and they're all gutted to hear of his passing.
I saw! It’s a very sensitive topic so didn’t want it to come across as anything other than a suggestion! I know you have a lot to pull together, just thought the players would probably want to be included in those tributes.

RIP, always one of us

Just like a member of the family was Norm, always happy to chat and such a nice man.
You'll always be at the Valley Norm, smiling down on us.
So sad , a true addick home and away , will be joing the other great characters in the sky who have sadly passed RIP Norman
The nicest of fellas, with the most gentle of souls. You were always there Norm. You always will be 😔
What can I say , every lifelong Charlton fan will know Norman, I went to away matches, and Norman was always there.
He was a legend and probably Charltons greatest fan.
He was simply 1 of ours !.
Rest in Peace Norm. x
You could say no more Rich. A good article
Massive loss to the Charlton community, like many fans, we will miss seeing him around The Valley and at away games.
All of us probably still coming to terms with this sad news.
Great knowing you Norm RIP 🔴⚪️
Thanks for the sub Rich- all at the Valley sensed the weight of events. Thoughts with his friends and family.
Small side note rich, not sure how to message, it may be worth adding Greg docherty’s X post as well as it’s from the current players.
Added Doc into the piece I did today as part of the review of the week Callum. Thanks!
