Isaac Olaofe has been urged not to “over-think” shooting in the final third - with Charlton Athletic manager Nathan Jones ruing a first-half chance in last night’s EFL Cup win which he felt the summer signing should have netted.

The former Millwall striker did supply the assist for Miles Leaburn to open the scoring in Tuesday evening’s 3-1 victory over Stevenage that booked the South London club’s passage into the second round.

Youngster Ibrahim Fullah, 18, added a second before the interval on only his second senior appearance and first start.

But Jones made his frustrations clear to Olaofe during the match after he did not manage to get a shot off from a nod down inside the penalty area by Harvey Knibbs.
