And how nice is that?

Charlton Athletic collected their first Championship point since November 4, when they defeated West Bromwich Albion at The Valley, and prevented their losing streak reaching six league matches for the first time since the 1998-99 Premiership season, when Alan Curbishley’s team suffered eight in a row to lose their top-flight status.

Birmingham’s record at St Andrew’s is excellent. They came into Saturday’s encounter with four straight victories and only Hull City have won there in the Championship in the current campaign.

Charlton joined Ipswich Town and Sheffield Wednesday in sharing the spoils with last season’s League One champions.

It feels a big point for a couple of reasons.
