THE WAIT GOES ON

Seven minutes. That’s all we were talking about. Charlton Athletic were that close to finally ending their winless hoodoo against Millwall.

But these fixtures since March 1996 have such a history of setbacks for the Addicks that it should not have come as any surprise that there was going to be another one for Nathan Jones’ team.

It seems like if something can go wrong to cause fresh heartbreak, it will.
