IT’S FOUR UNBEATEN

I tweeted straight after full-time at Pride Park that this felt like a decent point. And after sleeping on it, at least briefly as it was a 2.30am arrival back home, that opinion has not changed.

If you can’t win, then don’t lose. Twelve points from the opening eight matches, is a respectable return.

There will always be that tinge of frustration when your team leads in a match going into the closing quarter of the contest that they are unable to get that result over the line.

But Charlton were forced to absorb a lot of pressure in the second period with only sporadic counters towards Jacob Widell Zetterstrom’s goal.

The momentum graph below (from FotMob) underlines that fact.

There have been post-game press conferences where Nathan Jones has been left frustrated by his side not getting their just rewards - Leicester City and Millwall - but this time the Welshman seemed perfectly happy to pocket a point on the road.
