Every month South London Sport: Charlton Athletic Edition is catching up with Peter Varney, the club’s former chief executive and a boyhood fan of the club, to get his tales and inside info from when he was in a key position of responsibility in SE7.
In this sixth instalment, Varney picks his all-time Charlton team - including a manager - stretching back to when he watched his first game in February 1960.
He has also decided, with the World Cup finals set to take place in June, to select the Addicks players that would make up his 26-man squad.
