Addicks defender: This squad is too good to be in relegation trouble

Kayne Ramsay has told South London Sport: Charlton Athletic Edition that there has been contact with the club over his contractual situation.

The 25-year-old defender will still have another 12 months to run on his terms at the end of June.

Ramsay joined for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of £100,000, from Harrogate Town in February 2024.

He made 36 appearances in all competitions last season, missing around three months with a knee injury, as the Addicks won the League One play-offs.

Ramsay has remained a first choice defensive starter again in the current Championship campaign with 29 outings.

Charlton boss Nathan Jones told this website last month that he wanted the former Southampton youngster to extend his SE7 stay.
