Isaac Olaofe: Nathan Jones' striker work on his CV made Charlton Athletic transfer an easy decision
Forward used Stockport County move from Millwall to put himself in the shop window for a Championship return
Isaac Olaofe has revealed that Nathan Jones’ impressive work in developing two strikers at Luton Town made him jump at the chance to sign for Charlton Athletic in the summer.
The Addicks paid in the region of £1.5million to Stockport County for the 25-year-old, who signed a deal until the summer of 2028, at the start of July.
Olaofe scored 21 goals when the Greater Manchester-based club won promotion from League Two in the 2023-24 season. And he followed that up with 12 goals in 51 appearances in the last campaign as County lost to Leyton Orient in the League One play-off semi-finals.
