'I will speak to Craig Bellamy....' - Charlton Athletic manager in no doubt Lloyd Jones has the qualities to play for Wales
Addicks chief also reacts to Conor Coventry's Ireland omission for World Cup play-offs and answers if Micah Mbick will need knee surgery
Nathan Jones has revealed he is ready to speak to Wales boss Craig Bellamy about the merits of including Lloyd Jones in his squad.
The Charlton Athletic player is one of the top performing centre-backs in the Championship and is second in the division for aerial duels won on 225 - 32 ahead of Wrexham striker Kieffer Moore, who has been a fixture of the Wales international team.
Bellamy’s squad was announced earlier this week for the World Cup play-off fixture against Bosnia & Herzegovina this month and there was no place for the Addicks vice-captain, who has featured in every single league fixture this season.

QPR loanee Rhys Norrington-Davies was called up along with Cardiff City youngster Dylan Lawlor.
Lawlor and Leeds United’s Joe Rodon were the starting centre-back partnership for Wales in their final World Cup qualifier, a 1-0 victory at Liechtenstein.
There had been reports that Bellamy was also considering a move for Tottenham defender 20-year-old defender Ashley Phillips, on loan at Stoke City.
Jones, 30, is top for clearances made in the Championship.
He qualifies to play for Wales through his father and was capped by them at U17 and U19 level.
