Dundee head coach Steven Pressley reckons that Charlton Athletic have acquired a player with “enormous potential” after their raid earlier this month for Billy Koumetio.

The Addicks signed the 23-year-old centre-back at the start of July from the Scottish Premiership club for a fee believed to be in the region of £500,000.

It was a double exit for Dundee with Luke Graham completing a transfer to Stoke City for a reported fee of £2million.

Pressley was head of individual development at Brentford for four years before joining the Dee in June 2025 and always felt that Koumetio and Graham’s strong statistical numbers would make them targets.

“The one thing I do know is more and more clubs are going down the route of recruiting using the data process,” Pressley told South London Sport: Charlton Athletic Edition.
