"I have had no disagreement with any player here - I am open and honest with them" - Charlton Athletic boss Jones on decisions to loan out Rob Apter and Isaac Olaofe
Addicks chief also quizzed on link to Vojvodina centre-back Collins Sichenje
Nathan Jones has talked to South London Sport: Charlton Athletic Edition about the decision to loan out Rob Apter and Isaac ‘Tanto’ Oloafe.
The duo have made temporary switches dropping them back into League One.
Winger Apter has signed for Bolton Wanderers with striker Olaofe rejoining Stockport County, who he starred for in the 2024-25 campaign.
Charlton, who confirmed the addition of Wrexham centre-back Conor Coady this morning, brought in the pacey Jayden Fevrier on loan from Stockport as part of the incomings and outgoings on Thursday evening.
There have been rumours of a falling out between Jones and Apter, one of the biggest summer outlays from Blackpool following the SE7 outfit’s promotion to the Championship. Social media posts criticising his treatment appeared to be liked by members of the Liverpudlian’s family.
But the Addicks boss was quick to shoot down any suggestion of a bust-up.
“I have not got a single problem,” Jones said. “Every conversation I’ve had with Rob Apter is honest and truthful. I am in regular contact with his agent and regular contact with him.
