Blackburn Rovers reporter gives his verdict on 25-year-old's transfer to Charlton Athletic

Charlton Athletic have completed transfer number six of the summer window - Joe Rankin-Costello.

We’ve got all the lowdown on the 25-year-old, who has signed for an undisclosed fee, speculated to be around £750,000, from Blackburn Rovers.

The former Manchester United youngster has signed a deal with the Addicks until the summer of 2029.

Rankin-Costello said: "The manager was really positive about the project and it made me want to come here straight away. I wanted a new challenge and I’m really excited to embrace it.“
