Charlton transfer target Shinnosuke Fukuda considered genuine contender for Japan's national team
Kyoto Sanga journalist delivers verdict on 25-year-old defender who could still be a target in January window
Charlton Athletic are set to address at least one position in the January transfer window - right wing-back.
And here we take a look at Kyoto Sanga’s Shinnosuke Fukuda, a player that the Addicks tried to get in the summer.
The Addicks ended up taking James Bree on loan from Southampton until the start of 2026.
Fukuda is due to be out of contract at the end of December when the J League season finishes.

The 25-year-old has scored three goals and collected one assist in 26 matches for Sanga, who are second in the table and five points behind Kashima Antlers.
