Charlton Athletic winger Rob Apter - who has not played a minute in 2026 - makes loan move to Bolton Wanderers
Winger set to make his debut for League One club against Johnnie Jackson's AFC Wimbledon
Charlton Athletic winger Rob Apter has joined Bolton Wanderers on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 22-year-old, a former Scotland U21 international, was one of the marquee signings made by the Addicks from Blackpool in the summer transfer window.
But Apter has struggled to hold down a first-team berth after a promising August saw him win the club’s Player of the Month award.

Wigan Athletic were also keen on taking the Liverpudlian on a temporary basis but Bolton, who landed former Charlton wideman Corey Blackett-Taylor on loan from Derby County yesterday, have won the race.
Apter is set to make his debut for Wanderers on Saturday against AFC Wimbledon, bossed by former Addicks captain and manager Johnnie Jackson, at Plough Lane.
Charlton are set for a busy finale to this truncated period for transactions with a number of deals in the pipeline. One of those is Wrexham centre-back Conor Coady on loan until the end of the season.
