Daniel Kanu has set himself a goal target for his loan spell at Walsall and the sought-after total backs up his assertion that he has “a different mindset” as he closes in on a century of senior appearances.
The Charlton Athletic striker, who turned 21 a week ago, signed for the League Two club on August 21.
AFC Wimbledon, bossed by former Addicks skipper Johnnie Jackson, had also been really keen on a deal for Kanu. But by the time the forward was given the go-ahead to make a temporary exit, the Dons had moved to sign Antwoine Hackford and Danilo Orsi.

It cleared the way for Kanu to join Walsall, beaten by Jackson’s side in the League Two play-offs at the end of May.
