Charlton Athletic are poised to hand Solly March a short-term contract.
The 32-year-old winger has been a free agent since leaving Brighton at the end of last season.
Addicks boss Nathan Jones had told this website yesterday that “all options were open” when quizzed about whether he could look at unattached players to replace Rob Apter, who has undergone knee surgery.
The Welshman confirmed that Apter was set to be removed from their 25-man squad.

March played his 300th match for the Seagulls in a 3-0 home loss to Manchester United on the final day of the Premier League season, which turned out to be his farewell.
Jones will know all about the qualities of the right-winger after working with him while he was on the coaching staff at the South Coast club.
