Charlton Athletic manager not giving much away after being asked about prospect of Lyndon Dykes or any of last season's loanees returning for 2026-27 Championship season
Addicks boss always expected quality attacking additions to take longer in summer transfer window
Charlton Athletic manager Nathan Jones was in a coy mood when asked about the latest state of play surrounding Lyndon Dykes.
The striker is now a free agent after his short-term contract with the Addicks expired on July 1.
Dykes had been with Scotland at the World Cup but they were knocked out of the competition at the group stage. Their final fixture was on June 24 - a 3-0 loss to Brazil.
The 30-year-old scored three goals in 20 matches for the Addicks after signing from Birmingham City in the middle of January.
Charlton announced in early May that they had made a contract offer to Dykes.
Jones was quizzed after last night’s 1-0 friendly victory over Dartford where things stood with the big frontman.
