Charlton Athletic manager Nathan Jones has talked about whether he will consider recalling Micah Mbick or Daniel Kanu from their loan spells in the January transfer window.

The Addicks have depleted options in their frontline with Matty Godden (knee) ruled out since the end of last season and summer signing Charlie Kelman working his way back from a hamstring injury.

Mbick, 19, has scored five times and picked up one assist for Colchester United since making a temporary move at the start of September. His performances for the League Two club have also landed a first call-up to the England U20 squad for the Newham-born centre-forward.

Kanu, 20, is joint-third in the scoring charts in England’s fourth tier with Walsall, who occupy top spot after 18 matches.
