Charlton Athletic manager Nathan Jones on Ibby Fullah not being in matchday squad for Watford and goalkeeper Tiernan Brooks' development as he steps into understudy goalkeeping role
Teenager impressed against Bristol City but did not make the bench at Vicarage Road
Charlton Athletic manager Nathan Jones has explained Ibby Fullah’s absence from the matchday squad at Watford on Easter Monday.
The 18-year-old helped spark the Addicks into life after being subbed on in the 65th minute in Friday’s 2-1 loss to Bristol City at The Valley.
It looked a safe bet, based on that performance, that Fullah would be in the 20-man party for the fixture against the Hornets.
But instead the attacking midfield options on the bench were Jayden Fevrier, Harvey Knibbs and Joe Rankin-Costello.

Fullah has made 12 appearances this season and scored in both of their EFL Cup ties.
