Veteran former West Ham United striker now has Qatari option as he weighs up his next move
Nathan Jones has talked to South London Sport: Charlton Athletic Edition about the Championship club’s interest in signing former West Ham United striker Michail Antonio.
The Addicks have run the rule over the 35-year-old frontman.
It was reported yesterday that Qatari side Al‑Sailiya have opened talks with Antonio, who has been a free agent since leaving West Ham at the end of last season.

The south London-born player was named as one of broadcaster TNT’s pundits for the 2025-26 season. A switch abroad would seem to make juggling that aspect of his work slightly trickier.
Al‑Sailiya, nicknamed the Peregrines, were promoted to the top flight in Qatar at the end of the last campaign. The Doha-based club are ninth in the Qatar Stars League table.
