Charlton Athletic boss responds to rumours of fresh injury setback for Matty Godden
Nathan Jones provides timeline when he expects last season's top scorer to be back available for Addicks
Nathan Jones has denied that Matty Godden has suffered a fresh setback in his return from a knee injury which has kept the Charlton Athletic striker on the sidelines since May’s League One play-off final win.
The 34-year-old scored 22 goals last season, his first for the Addicks after a July 2024 transfer from Coventry City.
Godden told talkSPORT at the start of November that his injury had “never been seen before” by specialists.

There had been rumours that the experienced striker could be out until February.
