Nathan Jones has told South London Sport: Charlton Athletic Edition that reports the club’s owners Global Football Partners are seeking new investment does not change his January transfer window plans.
The Addicks only have to wait another fortnight before they can make moves to add to their squad.
Jones has made no secret that left wing-back is a priority position to add to at the start of 2026.
The Athletic’s senior news reporter Matt Slater posted on X that Charlton’s US owners are looking to follow Wrexham and Ipswich Town in selling a stake in the Championship club. Slater answered more questions on that development here.
The Addicks splashed out in the summer following League One play-off glory with transfer fees paid for Charlie Kelman, Rob Apter, Thomas Kaminski, Harvey Knibbs and Joe Rankin-Costello.
