Charlton Athletic boss Nathan Jones: 'My players didn't stick to the game plan or do a single thing I said to them at half-time'
All the main quotes from the Addicks boss in his post-match press after Saturday's draw at Oxford United
Nathan Jones was left frustrated that Charlton Athletic’s players did not execute his game plan in today’s 1-1 draw at Oxford United.
The Addicks made it a seven-point haul in the space of eight days as they followed up the 1-0 victory at Middlesbrough on Wednesday with a share of the spoils in Oxfordshire.
United went ahead through the softest of penalties in the 57th minute, with Kayne Ramsay making barely any contact with Tottenham loanee Will Lankshear. Cameron Brannagan beat Will Mannion. It was Oxford’s first spot-kick in 22 months.
Charlton were unable to register a shot on target until referee Matt Donohue gave another penalty in second-half stoppage time. This one had far more substance with U’s defender Ciaron Brown pulling Lloyd Jones back - captured perfectly by photographer Kyle Andrews below.
Here are all the quotes from Jones after the Championship fixture at the Kassam Stadium.
