Charlton Athletic manager Nathan Jones felt his side created enough opportunities in last night’s 0-0 draw against QPR to make it back-to-back Championship victories for the first time in October.

Joe Walsh made five saves for the west London visitors at The Valley.

Of particular note were his stops from Conor Coady and Lyndon Dykes. Liverpool loanee Luke Chambers also forced Walsh to make saves, including from a curled free-kick in the first half.

QPR took 80 minutes to record their first effort on target but did produce some late pressure.

Thomas Kaminski had to race off his line to foil R’s substitute Rayan Kolli in stoppage time while Jimmy Dunne’s header was hooked off the line by Dykes.

Jones said: “For 90 minutes I was really, really pleased with the level of performance - for the last eight minutes we caused ourselves problems with turning the ball over and giving them opportunities to counter-attack.
