We’re heading into matchday seven in the Championship - Charlton Athletic versus Blackburn Rovers this weekend.

South London Sport: Charlton Athletic Edition was back at the club’s Sparrows Lane training base this afternoon to catch up with Nathan Jones.

The Welshman reflected on the 1-0 victory at Sheffield United but also answered other questions - including his thoughts on the proposal to increase the amount of teams competing in the play-offs as well as the selection dilemmas he faces for Saturday’s fixture.

Kayne Ramsay is back from suspension and Jones has also confirmed that Luke Berry is in full training.

What are your thoughts on the fixture schedule? Before last weekend’s match at Sheffield United you had five of the next seven fixtures away. Next week you play at Derby County on Tuesday and then head to Preston North End the following Saturday.

Jones: “Look, it’s not ideal in terms of stuff. Gone are the days when you used to play one home, one away, one home and then one away. I have no idea why it has changed.
